Visual Communications Designer,
Knowledge Translation and Health Promotion

I acknowledge and thank the lək̓ʷəŋən People, also known as the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations communities—past, present and future—from whose traditional territory I live, work and learn as an uninvited guest of settler ancestry.

I partner with educators, professionals, creatives, and teams from health and life science organizations to create human- and learner-centred knowledge products using a range of applications and media (digital and print).

I launched my graphic design practice in 2017 with a foundation in brand identity development. Since 2020, my collaborations centre around visual communication solutions for complex topics in health and science spaces, optimized by that experience with visual identity systems and brand enablement.

Working with healthcare professionals and patient communities for three years in the non-profit sector as a communications coordinator highlighted both the benefits and challenges of current care systems and decision-making around health. This guided my freelance practice to knowledge translation and health promotion, which I pursue through an informed and empathetic lens.

My interests include:

  • Supporting educational initiatives for a range of stakeholders including patient, physician and public health education

  • Instructional design

  • Creative strategy X advances in tech and research

In addition to public-facing material, I frequently work with confidential and sensitive information to produce impactful communication solutions with collaborators for internal or confidential use.
